Guy Rancourt founded USA East Coast, formerly East Coast All Stars, in the summer of 2006. His collegiate All Stars have represented the United States in 12 different countries since its inception. The majority of Rancourts players have taken full advantage of this cultural and educational experience, with many of the successfully going back overseas to play professionally.
Each year the team will meet in New York City for a two-day training camp prior to departing for their destination.
While abroad the team will take part in guided tours, learn more about the local culture, participate in youth clinics, and compete against the best teams each nation has to offer. In addition to numerous East Coast alumni playing professionally overseas, Rancourt’s organization has had many players go on to the NBA. Russ Smith (Memphis Grizzlies), Dwight Powell (Dallas Mavericks), and Jack Cooley (Utah Jazz) are a few. Jeff Peterson, the current Scout and Coordinator of Basketball Operations for the Atlanta Hawks stated “My international experience with Coach Rancourt helped me transition into my current role with the Atlanta Hawks.”
The ability to learn more about our world, reach beyond our borders, and represent our country makes this the experience of a lifetime.
